He received his law degree from Cornell University Law School after obtaining his Master’s in Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Steven continued his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, Atlanta Judicial Circuit. He handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases and was recognized as the Non-Complex Trial Attorney of the Year. Steven was promoted to the Community Prosecution Unit as the Police Zone 1 Community Prosecutor where he worked directly with the police and the community to address crime in the Zone 1 community. As a result of his dedicated work ethic and drive, he was appointed to the position of Director of the Community Prosecution Unit before leaving to become a criminal defense attorney.
His career as a prosecutor ended when he has injured in a serious auto accident himself. Steven worked as his own accident lawyer and obtained a large car accident settlement for himself.
